Hell Wrapped in a Sausage. Or is it a Sausage Wrapped in Hell?

You know what’s fun?
That’s right.  Coca-Cola©.

You know what’s not fun?
That’s right.  Those stupid North-Siders.

See, I’m a Brewer fan.  Been one for 3 years and 4 months.  And, if you can tell time (not that this is really time-related), than you know that’s since the beginning of the 2005 MLB season.  So I’m relatively new.  Shoot me.  You know what I was doing though, during that three-hour hellfest?  At least most of it?

No, it’s not drinking.  I’m 16.  C’mon, think.  You know…
Watching movies.  To be more specific, “Vantage Point”, and “21″.  Both of which are very interesting films, to say the least.  They aren’t really your typical Hollywood bullcrap.

But moving on.  CC did well.  Then Rickie Weeks blew it.  Boy, that’s a shocker.  But what’s worse is is that Russell Branyan tied it up.

No, it’s not what I think I know that you’re thinking.  At least I think.  I don’t hate Russell Branyan.
See, I’ve been a hardcore Solomon Torres fan ever since “Gag-knee” started sucking balls.  Badly.

But NO.  Torres has to give up two in the 9th.

6-4.  All Hell broke loose.

Now you’re thinking, “Wait.  I just looked it up on Google that this is a 4-Game series.  Why is this whiny 16-year-old punk complaining?”

Because.  This is it.  2008 is it.

Sheets is gone come April.  So is CC.  Fielder might follow.  Who knows who else is gonna jump ship.

Doug Melvin wants this.  Marky A. wants this.  The whole state of Wisconsin NEEDS this.  Here’s a stat that shows how much emotion and passion is behind these final two-three months: on ESPN, they had another stupid poll for no apparent reason. The question?

Who’s going to be in first place in the NL Central after this series?  Chicago or Milwaukee.

In Illinois, with Chicago and all those Cub fans, it was 64-36 Cubs.
In Wisconsin?

86-14 Brewers.  Tell me we don’t want this.

Tell me we don’t need this.

I dare you.

You know why?  Because you can’t.  There is no way that you can tell that without knowing that it’s a lie.

So there’s still two months left.  Big whoop.

Bite me.  This game is just as, if not more important than that final day.  Because this day influences every other day.

Look at Colorado.

One game.

All it took was one game.  Than that game led to another, and that led to another, and they won the NL.

Let’s be the Rockies.  Let’s take everyone by storm.  We have a good reason to.

This is our last laugh.  This is our moment to shine.

This IS our time.  And you can’t take it away from us.

  1. Chicago & Milwaukee seem to be more evenly matched than last year, and both have improved drastically. As always, it will be about who can get hot at the right time.

Tough race to call. I like what they did by adding Sabathia. But if Harden & Gaudin both stay healthy for Chicago, I’m not sure anyone can catch Chicago. Zambrano-Dempster-Lilly-Harden-Gaudin has to be one of the best rotations in the game, if not the best. 4 of the 5 are below a 3.00 ERA , and Ted Lilly has been solid after a shaky first couple of months.

I like that Milwaukee is going for broke. They have an excellent chance at making the World Series, even if they don’t win the division.

But at least for the time being, I still see them as the 2nd best team in the NL.

  2. The Brewers can’t just sit back and wait for the Cubs to loose it, those pesky Cardinals won’t go away regardless of Tony wearing his sunglasses at night.

  3. Hey, Chorizo. If you’re having trouble loading an avatar or pic, just let Demonicume know at the “contact admin” link on the front page. He should be able to fix it faster than you can - Brett Favre. Probably just some admin setting or something like that. Should be an easy fix.

  4. Beautiful site
    Thanks, webmaster.
